Fire-escaping to Cold Spring
This Saturday I finally hopped on the train and went to the quintessential upstate small town of Cold Spring - a historic village with one Main Street lined with local boutiques, antique stores, and Putnam county's best eateries.
About a mile up from the Metro North station on Main Street is Pig Hill Inn Bed & Breakfast, which is housed in this lovely ivy-covered townhouse with a skinny fire escape.
This little alley was full of greenery and even a little gnome garden we decided to have some fun and shoot with the lush flora.

These Rebecca Taylor culotte-style paints were perfect for a day trip like this - fashionable and easy to walk around in! I even changed my shoes and went on a short trail and kayak adventure in them.
More on what to do and see in Cold Spring coming soon in a new blog post!
